Leo Russell founded Pride Technologies in 1983 with a focus on providing IT services to financial institutions. As Pride continued to grow, Leo diversified the business until it became Pride Global, the integrated human capital services firm it is today. Pride now specializes in vendor management, payroll services, business process optimization, attorney and leadership development, and complete staffing services for both direct hire and contingent labor solutions. Additionally, Pride employs 3000 associates over a broad geographic area, with offices throughout the U.S., Canada, India, and Brazil.

As featured in Crain’s New York Business, Pride is the largest minority-owned vendor management and staffing firm, as well as the 5th largest minority-owned company in the New York Area. In addition to his responsibilities at Pride, Leo also holds senior leadership positions at Young & Rubicam and Lehman Brothers. He received a BA in Economics from Claremont Men’s College. He also attended the OPM Program and is an alumnus of the Harvard Business School. He enjoys competitive sports, continuous learning and spending time with his wife and three children in Connecticut.

Jay Philip is a Principal with Pride Global and has been an instrumental member of Pride’s leadership team since 2005, helping to build the firm’s business process optimization and managed services businesses. Jay is also the founder of Pride’s businesses in India. Jay has broad experience consulting with, investing in and building businesses in the financial services, IT services and business services industries. He has a track record of success in working closely with management teams to create competitive advantage, drive strategic growth and implement transformative operational initiatives. His experience includes consulting, investing in and building businesses in North America and Asia.

Jay began his professional career with McKinsey & Company’s New York office where he served public and private companies in the Private Equity, Financial Institutions and Information Technology sectors in the US, India and Latin America. Jay’s work with clients at McKinsey included private equity due diligence, marketing strategy, operational improvement and general strategy formulation. Jay also worked with the firm’s nonprofit practice helping to establish the American India Foundation, a US-based foundation focused on promoting social and economic development in India. He also played a critical role in starting the foundation’s William Jefferson Clinton Fellowship for Service in India which has sent hundreds of skilled economic and social development professionals to India to engage in volunteer projects throughout India. Jay is passionate about managing, investing in and building differentiated businesses with a culture of world-class client service.

Jay holds a Masters of Business Administration from Harvard University, a Master of Science degree from the University of Oxford, and a Bachelor’s degree from Yale University. Jay was born and raised in New York and currently resides on the Upper West Side of Manhattan with his wife and two daughters.
